Shiatsu I, con Derk Rossbach

2018, from 14th to 18th october

Foundation Course - initiation

Shiatsu* is a Japanese style of massage, based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine. It consists in a big variety of techniques, but the most typical ones are stretching and finger pressure along the energetic meridians, including the acupuncture points.
The origin of any action is the centre of being (Hara), looking for the fusion with the universal energy Qi. Qi Gong exercises are part of the training.

This class, leaded by Derk Rossbach from the European Shiatsu School, matches the first cycle of professional formation of the European Shiatsu School. At the end, a diploma will be given that allows going on in that program at any time and in any place where there is a branch of the European Shiatsu School in Spain.

But even for those who don’t wish to go on, this workshop is complete in itself and prepares the students in a very practical way so they can apply basic sequences as a complement for related activities and as a help in the process of self-consciousness.
The teaching follows the tradition of Shiatsu-Zen which means that there is special emphasis on Traditional Medicine and Philosophy in Orient, where an energetic diagnostic* is done in order to adjust the treatment* and to encompass physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. Classes will be given in Spanish but can be translated in English, German or French.

Laban in the Air, with Katharina Conradi

july 2017, from 17th to 24th

LABAN in the AIR

In this workshop we will work with our potential to move from an authentic resource and our connection with our environment. Through different principles of the Laban/Bartenieff System we will explore our Moving Self in dance; as Dynamic Alignment, Core Support, Developmental Patterning and Rotation. Each concept will be presented through simple experiential movement platforms that awaken the body’s attention to its functional anatomy and it’s presence in space. We will work with awareness to the different categories body, effort, shape and space.

In the second half of the workshop we will investigate our personal dance in relation to inner experience, contact to nature and in contact with other dancers. This will involve shared partner dances (Contact Improvisation), witnessing each other in authentic dances (Authentic Movement) and building a personal and meaningful solo in contact with the stunning surrounding of water, earth, mountains, stars, moon and sun. The workshop will be balanced in exertive and recuperative parts. The joy of moving, our authentic ways of dancing, contact with what is surrounding us and who is surrounding us will be important keystones in this work. They will shape the unique connections with our inner and outer landscape in dance. This workshop is open to people of all levels in dance.

Once more this summer we want to do acrobatics with a lot fun in our extraordinary location in the Mediterranean mountains of Southern Spain.
This workshop is addressed to beginners -with some experience working with the body or circus- but also to experienced levels: Fons, our famous teacher from Holland will integrate all levels in the small group.
Humour and professionalism are the usual characteristics that are generated in the group.
While practicing on the open stage, we can enjoy the dreamy surroundings, spectacular views, sun and amazing peace and quiet.
We can soak up the sun, enjoy the pool, hike to various waterfalls or explore the area on a walk through the lush green valley.
